Kris Alberti has an extensive construction, management, and instruction background which she has blended to produce informative programs with practical solutions for her audiences. Bringing 20 years of experience problem solving, recommending products and creating compliance tools to her clients, Kris’s students leave her classes and clients with tangible plans and applications for their companies.
Kris has spent the last 10 years as the Director of Northwest Independent Contractors Association helping businesses that do not have Safety, Human Resource, or Consultants on staff.

Darren Fleshman
Werner

Darren Fleshman has been in the Northwest construction supply industry for nearly 10 years.  He has spent several years on inside and outside sales support for a local manufacturer’s representative and distribution.  The last several years Darren has been working as an End User Specialist for Werner Company’s local manufacturer’s representative.   Darren has completed “competent person” training for ladders and for fall protection products.  His experience “in the field” helps him understand the challenges facing contractors with regards to jobsite safety and productivity.  Darren lives in the greater Seattle area and offers contractors in the field support of ladder selection, inspection, and proper use.

Mark is the Safety Manager for GLY Construction. He has been managing safety programs for over 24 years and in the construction industry for over 30 years.  Marks positions include working as a labor coordinator, project manager and safety Manager at two different construction companies and 2 industry associations.

Stacia Hayes MBA, CHSP
Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness
Swedish Medical Center
Stacia started her career in construction safety before starting in healthcare safety and emergency preparedness. She began working at Swedish Medical Center in 2004 as a safety officer and was recently promoted to Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness for the entire Swedish system. She prides herself in being both innovative and practical in her approach to preparing her hospitals for whatever may come. Stacia is heavily involved with the Northwest Healthcare Response Network (Healthcare Coalition for Regions 5 &6) as well as a member of the Disaster Management Project out of Fire District 1 in Snohomish County. She currently sits on the state DOH Disaster Advisory Group representing large healthcare systems.
 
Mandi Kime
Director of Safety
AGC of Washington
Mandi is a CWU alumnus of the Safety and Health Management Program and currently serves as the Director of Safety for AGC of Washington. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and teaches Spanish for Supervisors in the Construction Industry. Mandi has worked for AGC for 11 years in the Safety Department, helping members with safety programs, training, doing Safety Team inspections, working on legislative/ regulatory issues pertaining to safety and serving on various safety committees. Mandi enjoys spending time camping and traveling with her family including her husband, her 6 year old daughter and 2 year old triplets.
 
James Maloney
James Maloney has been an active participant in construction since the 1980’s. His career began with an electrical apprenticeship then progressing to senior foreman in a large electrical company. During his electrical career James had a Career ending accident that could have easily resulted in a fatality. After his electrical career was cut short James naturally moved to Safety and the implementation of the regulatory standards. Throughout James’s career he has been whiteness to several major accidents that have resulted in fatalities and the importance of providing a safe workplace has had never eluded him in that interest James has continued his own personal growth thru receiving his CHST thru the BCSP. James has enjoyed a very active life style through his interests of hunting large game animals, hiking thru several of the most beautiful states in the US, camping among the stars on the top of the Teton mountains, fishing in the Wilds of Alaska, and riding his mountain bike in the Deserts of the Southwest. In each of those activities there have been serious accidents and the possibility for death has always loomed its through very careful attention to safety that has allowed him to continue with his outdoor activities.

Kerry Soileau

Kerry has been a safety professional in the construction and industrial environments for 15 years, including the petrochemical, nuclear, pharmaceutical, DOE, DOD, micro-processor, educational, commercial and residential environments throughout the United States.  Kerry has started and been president of a safety consulting business spanning multiple states.  He has given presentations at venues such as the National Safety Counsel’s annual conference, state worker’s compensation forum, and other national association functions.  Kerry has also been successful in managing the safety programs in some of the most safety accomplished companies across the U.S.   Please welcome Kerry Soileau (pronounced: swallow).

 
Anne Soiza

Anne Soiza, Assistant Director, Division of Occupational Safety & Health: Anne was appointed Assistant Director for the Division of Occupational Safety and Health in March of 2012. She started with Labor and Industries in 1987 in what is now the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). She has a bachelor of science degree in Chemistry from Willamette University and worked in the chemical industry in the midwest before joining L&I.
 
Josh Stivers
Swedish Medical Center
Josh Stivers has over 15 years of police and security background. He has owned and operated 3 private contract security guard companies in the Greater Puget Sound Area of Washington. Mr. Stivers also served as a Police Officer in the South Sound near SeaTac, WA and recently resigned so he could focus on earning his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration in which he graduates this year in 2015 all while continuing his full time work at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA as their System Security Training Coordinator. Mr. Stivers is a National Trainer with the A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Institute where he trains on active shooter response in schools, hospitals and businesses.

Mike is Parker Smith & Feek’s Risk Control Specialist and a Principal of the firm. His role is to develop proactive Risk Control programs designed to reduce exposures to hazardous or dangerous conditions that could lead to injury or property damage. He works with our Account Service Teams and clients to identify safety and risk control practices, and assists in implementing appropriate programs to avoid or limit loss.
