Launch your future at Student Summit!
The TAPPI/PIMA Student Summit is an annual event designed for students interested in the pulp, paper, packaging and allied industries. It offers direct interaction with industry leaders as well as the opportunity to gain valuable information about employment and career development within their field.
The event is an excellent venue for advanced undergraduate and graduate students to learn about opportunities after graduation as well as some of the key challenges and opportunities existing in the industry today. It is the only event that brings students from paper and packaging schools together to reinforce their interest in joining the industry. Session topics have included Nanotechnology, Printed Electronics, and the State of the Industry, all topics that are not regularly taught as part of their curriculum.
The Student Summit takes place over Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend, with interviews beginning Friday afternoon, opening sessions beginning Saturday morning and tours lasting until noon on Monday. There is always a plant tour, an engineering competition, and a fun group outing that is built into the schedule.
