Learn these fundamentals and techniques in Rollprinting and Keum Boo
• Roll printing
• Metal embellishment
• Texturing metal
Expand your metalworking repertoire with the visual dimension of roll printing, then take it up a notch by adding the luster and warmth of gold. We'll use custom and purchased patterns in a rolling mill to add texture to copper and silver sheet for unique designs. Then we'll employ the ancient technique of Keum Boo to embellish our designs with real 23k gold. We'll put it all together into stunning earrings and several components you'll be happy to use in other projects. Join us for a fun and fast-paced workshop that is sure spark your creativity!You will complete this project in class.
Prerequisites: Prior experience with a butane torch helpful but not required
Materials you are required to bring: Eye magnification and a battery-powered work light - everything else is included!
