In this first session the ISLA team will provide an update on key regulatory and policy issues that the industry is facing today as well as highlighting some of the key initiatives that ISLA has been working on over the past 12 months. As much of the regulatory agenda is moving ahead quickly we will finalise details of this session nearer the date but we expect to discuss the EU’s Transparency of Securities Financing Transactions (SFTR), the Financial Stability Boards Shadow Banking Review, the Central Securities Depository Regulation, the rolling impact of Basel III/CRD IV as well as the Transparency Directive, MiFid II and the potential impact of 'resolution stays' on our markets. We will also touch upon some of the work we have been doing through our regional roundtables as well as our newsletters and working groups

As details of how the Stay Protocol might work in the context of securities financing become clearer the session will also consider implications for lending community in general and how the process will move forward from here.
