      Life after Ash Basins and what Outfalls can tell about operations. As a result of the Coal Combustion Residual Rule and the N.C. Coal Ash Management Act, ash basins are closing across the Duke Energy fleet, and "water redirect" projects are being implemented to reroute waste streams away from existing basins.
    • What is going 'Round?
      Submerged Flight Conveyor Installation, implementation, and operations – Lesson's learned.
    • Fuel Evaluator Tool
      How Station Coal Selections and Evaluations are Made, the Fuel Evaluator, and Fuel Purchasing Process. This presentation will focus on Duke’s fuel evaluator tool which provides holistic total fuel costs that include operational impacts so that a true fuel cost comparison can be achieved. In addition the tool is utilized to predict impacts to the units.
