Q. What are the rules and what can I win?

By submitting an entry in the Stackies/Hackies competition, you certify the information submitted with all entries is original content, and you have permission to share on behalf of your company and/or client for judging purposes. You also grant ChiefMartec.com, Third Door Media (and its partners) rights to republish all or parts of the submitted materials for editorial and/or promotional purposes.

All entrants will automatically receive a discount code for the purchase of an All-Access pass to the 2017 MarTech Conference in San Francisco.

If your entry is selected as a finalist and/or winner, you may receive (1) complimentary (Expo+ Pass) to send a representative to the awards presentation on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 5PM during the MarTech Conference opening reception at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco. Each winner will also receive (1) All Access pass to a future MarTech Conference (to be used at Boston 2017 or San Francisco 2018).

Q. Is there an Entry Form I need to download?

No. The entry application process is entirely online. Once you create a user profile and select a category for entry, you will see fields to enter specific data and formats required.

TIP: When entering the Stackies, ensure your own brandname / logo is identified on the image submitted.

Q. I represent a Tool/Platform, can we enter our own marketing stack?

The Stackies are all about representing how various marketing tools and platforms work together within an organization. Since we do appreciate seeing how vendors utilize both their own tools and integrate platforms from external sources, vendors are eligible for entry.

In the Hackies competition, vendors may submit a case study on how its own marketing team used martech to drive awareness, leads and/or sales of SaaS tools and services.

Also, please note that software and platform vendors should not submit case studies on behalf of a customer. However, we do encourage vendors, tools and platforms to spread the word about entering The Stackies and The Hackies to their customer base of agency and client-side users. If you know of a customer using your tool/platform in an innovative way and is achieving exceptional results using marketing technology, they may submit details about how your service has helped as part of their entry. Your company may receive recognition when nominees and winners are announced.

Q. My company is a sponsor of the MarTech conference, are we eligible to win?

The Stackies and The Hackies are editorial competitions. Sponsorship does not impact the outcome in any way.

Q. Do you accept entries from outside the USA?

Yes, The Stackies and The Hackies are open to global entries; non-US and international companies are eligible. However, all award applications and entries must be submitted in English.

Q. Who are the judges for The Stackies & The Hackies?

The judging panel will consist of editorial staff from chiefmartec.com, MarTech Today, and MarketingLand, plus independent analysts and practitioners. Vendors are not allowed to participate as judges in the awards. All judges are asked to recuse themselves from evaluating entries where a potential conflict of interest may occur.

Additional Rules & Regulations:

  • Judges reserve the right to move entries into alternate categories.

  • Judges reserve the right to disqualify any or all applicants from any given category.

  • Judges may not provide feedback on entries.

  • Finalists do not need to be present to win, though we encourage all entrants to join us to celebrate the results of your efforts among industry peers and colleagues.

  • By submitting an entry in the Stackies/Hackies competition, you certify the information submitted with all entries is original content, and you have permission to share on behalf of your company and/or client for judging purposes.
