The 2019 SAVIR Conference is scheduled for April 1-3, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Cincinnati, OH.
SAVIR (The Society for the Advancement of Violence and Injury Research) provides leadership and fosters excellence in the science of injury and violence prevention research. This year’s conference will highlight ways in which injury prevention research is promoted by and used in advocacy efforts and policy. We are looking for abstracts to include in our scientific
sessions. Scientific sessions on both days of the conference will last 90 minutes and include 3-5 presentations. We are also soliciting proposals for pre-conference workshops, which last 4 hours and occur the morning before the conference begins.
Details for Pre-Conference workshop proposals These half-day sessions will be held Monday morning, 1 April. Up to two instructors will receive complimentary conference registrations. For more information about workshops and sessions, please go to www.savirweb.org
Details for scientific abstracts Research leading to policy implementation or change, partnerships and advocacy that support policy-related work, and innovative findings are just some of the efforts to be showcased at this conference. You may choose from the following formats: oral, poster or flash science (students or early career professionals only).
Flash Science is a format geared toward students and early career scientists; it challenges authors to present their
research in a clear, concise yet provocative way. Students can participate in the Student Paper Competition.
