Merit Scholarship Application Instructions


Before you begin your submission, you must create a profile.
 
To create a profile, click the “Login” tab in the menu bar above.
Click "New User" then complete information requested.
Please Note: This information is not linked to your AGPA profile. All users are new at this time. 
Once this is completed, this tab will display as “My Profile” in the menu bar.

Please note that after 30 minutes of inactivity, you will be automatically logged out of the system and the information you entered will be lost.

To begin your application, click
"Applications" in the menu bar; then click “add new.” 
You will have the option to SAVE & RETURN (you can return and edit your submission) at any point during the process. When the application is finished then you can SAVE & SUBMIT. The scholarship application will be submitted when the "Save & Submit" button is clicked, at which point you will NOT be able to edit your application. 


Important to note:


A. Early Decision Scholarship Application Deadline: November 1.

1. Applications submitted by the deadline will receive priority consideration including for applicable endowed scholarships.

2. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered and will be awarded tuition support scholarships on a funds available basis; no endowed scholarship consideration is available after the deadline.

3. Applications must be submitted electronically on this website with supporting materials in word and/or PDF format.


B. Following are the application items The Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health Scholarship Committee must be in receipt of before being considered for a scholarship:

 

1. Completed Scholarship Applicant Profile.

2. Current Curriculum Vitae.

3. Letter of introduction identifying your:

-Interest in and/or reasons for attending AGPA Connect

-Present and future goals with particular focus on your plans in the

area of group therapy.

-Personal statement of financial need for a scholarship,

4. Two personal letters of recommendation, from someone knowledgeable of your experience supporting your attendance at the Annual Meeting, preferably from an AGPA member, Affiliate Society member or a colleague or faculty member.


5. A completed AGPA Membership Application.

-Current or past AGPA members applying for a scholarship must be members in good standing to be considered for scholarship funds.


C. Please do not submit your application until all required items have been uploaded.


D. After we confirm receiving all required materials, you will be invited to submit your meeting registration.

Please submit your 2018 scholarship application before November 1, 2017 for priority and endowed scholarship consideration.
