After continued discussion with the CCAP leadership, our senior staff and other county leaders in this rapidly changing environment, it has become apparent that the correct decision is to cancel our Spring Conference. In addition to growing considerations regarding large gatherings, yesterday’s event attendance ban for state employees by Governor Wolf, with anticipation that travel bans and emergency declarations will continue, prevents 80% of our presenters from participating at our Conference, which has a significant impact on our ability to deliver content of value to our attendees. Further, as you know, our commissioners are dealing with their own county travel bans, attendance bans, and individual county constituent, policy, and health challenges, so we have heard the repeated message that they are unable to leave their counties. Therefore, we believe CCAP’s only decision is to join the state and federal governmental prevention and awareness protocols which have been put into action.
To that end, please note the following:
Registration Refunds: CCAP will process refunds of all registration fees automatically; you do not need to take any individual action.
If you previously canceled your registration and CCAP withheld the administrative fee per our cancellation policy, we will be refunding those fees as well.
Refunds will be issued via check, so we ask for your patience in processing and receiving
Questions regarding refunds can be directed to Jeannette Hunter at jhunter@pacounties.org
Hotel Reservations: All attendees must contact the Hilton or Crowne Plaza directly to cancel their hotel reservations.
To reach the Hilton, please call their reservations department at (717) 233-6000 by March 18.
To reach the Crowne Plaza, please call their reservations department at (717) 234-5021 by March 18.
Policy Committees and Educational Sessions: CCAP will be exploring options to hold our policy committee meetings and certain educational sessions on a remote basis (telephone, webinar, etc.). Please watch your emails for further details in the coming days.
As always, please feel free to call or email me with additional questions and concerns. Our goal is always to do our best to serve our communities and I have every confidence we will do no less in the coming days and weeks as well.
