Nestled in the heart of Bronzeville, John J. Pershing Elementary Humanities Magnet School is cradled in a secure environment steps away from the beautiful lakeshore. Pershing is a Leader in Me School committed to educating the whole student through leadership, family and community involvement. The humanities-based curriculum fosters advanced learning and achievement through interdisciplinary, multi-cultural, and developmentally appropriate instructional programs for Pre-K through eighth-grade students. Approximately 600 students represent various ethnicities at Pershing. Our nurturing and dedicated professional staff provide both a challenging and well-rounded curriculum that meets the needs of every student while allowing students to develop their leadership skills.
