Participants will learn about clinical trials including:

• The history of clinical trials

• An overview of human subjects research and
human subjects protection committee

• Facts about human subjects research regulations and clinical trials

• How to gather information and ask questions of research team 
members to assist in deciding whether standard treatment
or clinical trials are the most appropriate

• How new cancer treatments are developed and approved

• How to search for clinical trials listing for blood cancers.

• Resources available locally and nationally
