Program Goal
To provide a learning opportunity for oncology nurses to expand their knowledge about treating hematology oncology patients with AML
Objectives: At the end of the program participants will be able to :
- Describe current and emerging treatments for acute myeloid leukemia (AML)
- Identify diagnostic tests included in standard AML panels, and the role of cytogenetic & molecular analysis
- Engage Patients and caregivers in clinical trials discussion, on emerging therapies for AML
- Apply nursing strategies for optimal nursing care
- Provide information on resources LLS support services for patients, their families and health care providers, throughout the patient's treatment
Target Audience:
Oncology Nurses at the intermediate levels of practice and caring for the adult patient with acute myeloid leukemia
Upon completion of this program and submission of the activity evaluation, a certificate of completion will be emailed to you within 30 days.
