Goal: To provide a learning opportunity for oncology nurses and social workers to expand their knowledge about treating blood cancer patients with CAR T-Cell Therapy.
Objectives: At the conclusion of this live, in-person program, participants will be able to:
· Explain the CAR T-cell therapy process.
· Describe the role of CAR T-cell therapies as a treatment option for blood cancer patients.
· Describe side effects and management for CAR T-cell therapy patients.
· Identify emerging uses for CAR T-cell therapies.
· Discuss resources available including those from LLS for patients, caregivers and healthcare providers
Target Audience: Oncology nurses and social workers at all levels of practice, caring for blood cancer patients.
Approval for nurses has been obtained by
the National Office of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society under Provider
Number CEP 5832 to award 2.0 continuing education contact hours through the
California Board of Registered Nursing.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Provider Number 1105, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org. Approved Continuing Education Program (ACE). Approval period: 12/10/2017 - 12/14/2020. LLS maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers will receive 2.0 CE clinical contact hours.
Upon completion of this program and submission of the activity evaluation, a certificate of completion will be emailed to you within 30 days.
