Continuing Education (CE) Information

Goal:  To provide a learning opportunity for oncology nurses and social workers to expand their knowledge about cancer survivorship issues.

Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to: 

  • Describe common late effects after cancer treatment
  • Implement a coordinated plan of care/consult with specialty providers to manage medical late effects of cancer when appropriate
  • Identify types of psychosocial issues and provide support resources to mitigate these issues.
  • Describe the survivorship models of care
  • Provide resources for support of the patient and family throughout the treatment process
Target Audience:  Oncology nurses and social workers at the intermediate and advanced levels of practice, caring for blood cancer patients. 

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Provider Number 1105, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org. Approved Continuing Education Program (ACE). Approval period: 12/10/2017 - 12/14/2020. LLS maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers will receive 2.0 CE clinical contact hours.

Upon completion of this program and submission of the activity evaluation,
a certificate of completion will be emailed to you within 30 days.
