New Breakout Sessions

Featuring new research and hot topics in education including, resilience and equity. As well as CASEL, Leader in Me and how it aligns to California state initiatives, and Social-Emotional Learning.

In the session on resilience we will explore the inspiring research on resilience to gain a deeper understanding of how small changes in classroom practices can help all students overcome challenges and excel in school and in life, especially those coping with Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs) such as abuse, neglect, or household dysfunction. Click here for more information on the resilience session.

The session on empowered expectations will explore the science behind our expectations of others and how we can become aware of limiting beliefs and take action to improve the associated behaviors. Click here for more information on the equity session.

7 Habits for Families

The expansion of 7 Habits for families into Symposium encourages us all to Inspire, Imagine and Lead Together. The 7 Habits for Successful Families suggests solutions for improving the home environment and family relations using the 7 Habits.

Because of the fast-paced world we live in, it is fundamentally important to stop and reflect of the emotional stability and well-being of our families. Without intentionally cultivating a positive and uplifting environment, valuable relationships can become strained over time. This program provides a powerful framework for implementing timeless principles that create a nurturing and enriching environment for all of the members of the family.

New High School Content

Created in collaboration with the genius of Leader in Me high school creators David Hatch, Gary McGuey, and Lonnie Moore. Elementary school is not the only place where leadership is unearthed. The Leader in Me High School model represents the natural evolution of the Leader in Me process. It is distinctly from the elementary approach. It includes cultural and school-wide improvement through professional development and coaching. Critical to the success of this model is an individualized student leadership plan which is crucial in unleashing the greatness within every student.

From a school-wide perspective, student leadership is powerful and ubiquitous. Beyond engaged student leadership opportunities, students also have the option of becoming FranklinCovey Leadership Certified. Imagine the marketplace value this certification brings when students apply for college or the workplace.
