IPWEA (NSW) Professional Development Workshop: Powers and Duties of a Local Government Engineer - Port Macquarie 30 and 31 July 2018 

The course will be undergoing a revamp to ensure it is 100% in accordance with the requirements of the soon to be offered IPWEA Diploma in Local Government (Operational Works) Course.(LGA50404)

The objective of this course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to operate as an effective practitioner within the local government sector.

Your presenter is Ken Halstead an experienced civil engineer town planner who was employed in local government for a period of 29 years in both rural and metropolitan councils.  He held senior engineering management positions including Municipal or Shire Engineer for 20 years.  Ken was employed as a part time lecturer for a period of 16 years while employed in local Government and full time senior Lecturer for a preriod of 23 years at UTS.

LOCATION: Port Macquarie Hastings Council, Glasshouse Port Macquarie, 30-42 Clarence Street and Hay Street, Port Macquarie

TIMES: Please register at the Workshop by 8.15am on Day 1. The program will commence promptly at 8.30am and finish at 5.00pm on Day 1. Day 2 begins at 8.30am and finish at 5.00pm. Morning and afternoon teas and lunch provided on both days.
  
CAR PARKING: Free Parking is available at the venue.

ACCOMMODATION: Overnight accommodation is not provided for Delegates. You will need to organize your own accommodation if required.
