Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to offer the 2017 Voice of Nursing (VON) 3.0: Building a Culture of Excellence Conference! The conference has been designed to build upon your knowledge and experience on professional practice regardless of where you are in your journey. Nursing practice in Kaiser Permanente is inspired by the KP Nursing vision, animated by six values and guided by a professional practice model since 2013.

There is no pre-requisite that your site has rolled out Voice of Nursing 1.0 and/or 2.0 prior to attending this conference.

In 2016, the KP National Nursing Leadership Council (NNLC) voted to support Magnet excellence standards as the framework for nursing professional practice in Kaiser Permanente in all settings, regions and across the continuum to inform our work. The purpose of this conference is to engage, empower and educate nursing leaders at all levels to lead in the challenging environment we find ourselves using this evidenced based roadmap.

Please join us for this unique two-day conference with key note speakers: Susan Finlayson, RN, DNP, NE-BC and Senior Vice President of Operations, Mercy Medical Center, Fundamentals of Magnet Instructor and co-author of Fundamentals of Magnet Toolkit; Gen Guanci, MEd, RN-BC, CCRN-K, Consultant, Creative Health Care Management, Invited member of the National Magnet Conference Continuing Education Task Force and Simon Bailey, MA, CSP, CPAE, American speaker, author, life coach and entrepreneur. He is author of Shift Your Brilliance: Harness the Power of You.

We look forward to welcoming you on May 9 and 10, 2017 at the Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, California, and taking this journey together.

Thank you for all you do today and every day for our members, patients, and families.

Sincerely,
