2019 National Surgical Symposium

Welcome

A MESSAGE FROM THE CO-CHAIRS

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the Kaiser Permanente General and Vascular Surgery/GI/IR National Symposium which will be held in the beautiful Emerald City of Seattle. We chose Seattle this year to have a stateside location a little more accessible for travel and also to welcome and meet our newest partners in the Pacific Northwest on their home turf.  The meeting will take place in the middle of the downtown area at the Westin Seattle.

To highlight the interdisciplinary strength of Permanente Medicine, we have assembled a distinguished panel of experts in the fields of General and Vascular Surgery, Gastroenterology and Interventional Radiology to serve as faculty to share their knowledge and expertise with you. Topics and panels are designed to highlight multispecialty approaches to problems we see in our daily clinical practice.

In addition to clinical education, the Symposium will also afford attendees an opportunity to connect in person and network with your colleagues from other KP Regions and the Community as well. There will be time to explore the city and enjoy the sights, tastes and smells of Pikes Market, the famous Space Needle, museums, beautiful waterfront, mysterious underground city and of course the original Starbucks coffeeshop.  We hope that the collaborative opportunities are as rich as the clinical education.

The Westin Seattle is ideally located in the center of downtown Seattle, and is an easy walk or Monorail ride to all of the attractions. It is also easily accessible by train ride from the airport so no need to rent a car.

Please note, we have reserved a limited amount of hotel guest rooms at a special discounted group rate for those attending our symposium.   These rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis so we highly recommend that you register today!  To book your hotel room, you will be required to register first for the symposium and then you will receive an email registration confirmation with the details and instructions to book your hotel room.

We look forward to seeing you in beautiful Seattle the “Emerald City”!
