2019 Family Medicine Symposium

WELCOME!

We invite you to join us for this comprehensive, informative, collegial, and practical symposium, designed with your needs in mind. Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to learn, connect, and refresh!

The 2019 Symposium agenda is structured around Infectious Diseases to address HIV, pediatric URI, dermatologic infections, travel-related illness, and ID-related GI complaints. The agenda also addresses several other common challenges in Family Medicine, including difficult conversations, medication challenges, current approaches to cancer screening, and new approaches to prevention, diagnosis and management of common complaints including chronic cough, musculoskeletal issues, abdominal pain (non-infectious), and chest pain.

Highly interactive formats enhance participants’ learning experience, through case-based discussions, polling, tabletop discussions, demonstrations, facilitated discussions about practice barriers, and hands-on simulation practice.

This two-day course addresses Family Medicine’s broad scope of practice with 20 topics that address common challenges in clinical care and includes an opportunity to meet ABFM Maintenance of Certification requirements, as well as opportunities to support resident scholarly work during the poster session.

Several networking opportunities allow participants to meet new colleagues, reconnect with friends from other service areas, and return to practice with renewed confidence and inspiration.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!
