We are cordially inviting you to the BLS Workshop and Emergency Nursing Course 2016 brought to us by Nightingale Nursing Training with this year’s theme “Beat The Odds: A Healthcare Provider’s Race Against Time,” on November 25-26, 2016 in Novotel Al Bustan, Abu Dhabi. 

This event reflects the latest guidelines of American Heart Association for Basic Life Support which provides participants the opportunity to apply hands on training for emergency care that aims to maintain or re-establish the airway, breathing, and circulation in seriously ill or injured people. This satisfies the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi mandatory requirement for renewal of all healthcare provider licenses. 

Emergency Nursing Course provides foundational knowledge for healthcare provider in understanding and interpreting electrocardiography; an in depth discussion on electrophysiology updates healthcare provider on physiological mechanism behind ECG; clarifying concepts of Cardiac Arrhythmia though conceptual framework of commonly encountered arrhythmias provides healthcare practitioner a background for developing care to patients.

OBJECTIVES

After participating in this activity, the attendees will able to:

·         Evaluate the latest guidelines of American Heart Association in performing the basic life support and to use an automated external defibrillator is an interactive process that requires both knowledge and skills 

·         Interpret and discuss the advancement of electrocardiography which is recently emerged 

·         Discuss the electrophysiology updates healthcare provider on physiological mechanism behind ECG 

·         Describe the concepts of Cardiac Arrhythmia though conceptual framework of commonly encountered arrhythmias provides healthcare practitioner a background for developing care to patients.


TARGET AUDIENCE

Any healthcare professionals, regardless of their area of practice in all health facilities are mandated to be annually trained including general practitioners, physicians, dentists, ER staff, nurses, physical therapists, registered pharmacists, paramedics, cardio-respiratory experts who need to know how to perform lifesaving skills in various emergency settings.
