Event Description

This class is a two-day course by Dr. Michael Richard on Activated Sludge Microbiology/Filament Identification.

This class is for RMWEA or WEF members only. You will be required to enter your membership number to register.  If you are not a member you may become an RMWEA member for one year for a fee of $35. To do so click here. Once you receive your membership number return here to register.  If you are registering a friend to share your microscope with that person will also need to be a member.

Dr. Richard’s book (Manual on the Causes and Control of Activated Sludge Bulking, Foaming and Other Solids Separation Problems, Jenkins, Richard & Daigger), is required for the course.  You may bring your own manual or purchase one here while registering.

Bring a Friend - There are a limited number of microscopes available (20), so there is a cap on attendees.  However, if two people (ideally from the same plant, but not necessary) want to share a microscope, this will allow for more people to attend.  The option of adding a friend/co-worker is available through registration.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a sample of their activated sludge with them to the course.
