European Delirium Association / BGS-SIG Dementia and related disorders joint meeting on Delirium.

Venue: Waterloo Campus, King's College London.

2nd September Pre-conference Delirium Training Day

The EDA pre-conference is aimed at a multi-disciplinary audience, and presumes no background knowledge. There will be the opportunity to hear talks from experts and meet people with shared interest. Themes covered will include :
• What is delirium and how to make a diagnosis
• Prevention and management
• Delirium in special situations: medical, post-operative etc
• Practical case scenario sessions

Main meeting: 3rd & 4th September

Two day conference for all health professionals interested in delirium research, education and policy. Sessions include:

  • Biological basis of delirium neuropsychiatry
  • Critical care and perioperative delirium
  • Palliative care and nursing home delirium
  • Experimental models for delirium research
  • Innovations in delirium education

Keynote speaker: Dr Colm Cunningham, Trinity College Dublin

Membership of the EDA is undergoing constitutional changes, and the EDA will be offering formal membership in the coming months. Interested delegates may register for the conference at the same rates as BGS members on the proviso that they subsequently join the EDA when membership becomes available (€30/year when joining before 1st Sept 2015). Proof of EDA membership will be necessary when the conference opens. Please check the website for updates
