Bio
As Vice President of Technology and Invention, Will is accountable for global technical product innovation and digital experimentation at R/GA. With an emphasis on making and building, he works with global clients and R/GA's deep roster of in-house Technology talent to build great products and help bring together the often disparate groups of Marketing, Brand, IT and Product Development. Will joined R/GA in 2006 and led Technical Development across multiple offices on global accounts like Nokia and MasterCard. He brings a creative energy to teams and encourages them to explore what can happen when the lines blur between ideas, design, copy and code, and to see what emerges when art and science intertwine. As an industry thought leader, he has presented this unique perspective at leading events like SXSW, the Behance Network’s 99% Conference, and JSConf. Prior to joining R/GA, Will was the Director of New Technology at SonyBMG for five years where he created digital experiences for their roster of over 2000 artists. He served on the Technical Architecture committees of the Blu-ray Disc Association, the HD-DVD Promotion Group and the Coral Consortium, and helped develop the first line of music-based UMD products for the original PlayStation Portable. Before SonyBMG he worked in both corporate and educational multimedia building experiences for clients like Gillette, Astra, Westin Hotels, National Geographic, and Harcourt Brace. Will has a MCS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Broadcasting & Film from Boston University.
