Is this conference appropriate to my organisation?

It is aimed at all organisations operating or thinking of delivering government funded skills training and employability provision.

Can I change the attendee after I have booked?

Yes and these will be accepted up until 5.00pm on Friday, 23 June 2017. Please contact the AELP Events Team. We are available to answer any questions you may have about the arrangements for the conference via email nationalconference@aelp.org.uk or via telephone 0117 947 2097.

How many delegates per organisation can attend?

There is no restriction on the number of attendees.

How do I book?

Registration will be open the week commencing 8 May 2017. All bookings will be taken online.

Is there a cost to attend the conference?

Yes and all fees must be paid online at the time of booking as follows. A full list of delegate fees can be found here.

Is there a cost to attend the AELP Gala Evening?

All attendees at the conference including full AELP Members with a complimentary conference place must pay if they wish to attend the AELP Gala Dinner.  Costs are detailed on the AELP Gala Dinner page on this site.

May I pay by Invoice?

No. All payments must be paid using an online card payment on this website.

What card types are accepted for online payment?

AELP accept the following cards Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, Delta, Maestro and Solo.

How much does it cost to attend a workshop?

The workshops are included in the cost of your delegate fee and do not incur any additional costs.

May I send a substitute?

Yes and these will be accepted up until 5.00pm on Friday, 23 June 2017. Please contact the AELP Events Team. We are available to answer any questions you may have about the arrangements for the conference via email nationalconference@aelp.org.uk or via telephone 0117 947 2097.

What is the cancellation fee?

Cancellations made prior to 5.00pm on Monday, 5 June 2017 are fully refundable.

Cancellations made between the period Tuesday, 6 June 2017 up to and including 5.00pm on Monday, 12 June 2017 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total cost of the booking including delegate fees, accommodation and the Gala Dinner.

For any cancellations made after this date, the full invoice amount will be payable. However, there is no charge for substitutions which will be accepted up until 5.00pm on Friday, 23 June 2017.

Exhibition and Sponsorship Packages

All exhibition and sponsorship bookings are non refundable under any circumstances.

Payments
All payments must be received immediately on receipt of booking.

How do I get to the venue?

Upon receipt of registration and payment a confirmation email will be sent. A week prior to the conference, full joining instructions together with a location map will be provided. However, travel information is also available on the venue page.

How do I book accommodation?

We have reserved a number of bedrooms at the hotel on a first come first served basis for the night of Sunday, 25 June 2017 and Monday 26 June 2017  only. Rates and room options are listed on the accommodation page on this site. All rooms are subject to availability. Bedrooms may be booked as part of your conference booking. If you require bedrooms for any night other than those listed, please contact the hotel directly. It is advised that accommodation is booked as early as possible to ensure availability. AELP accepts no responsibility for room extras and guests are advised that these must be settled on departure.

Will AELP pay for accommodation or cover other costs/expenses such as travel?

No. All accommodation costs and other expenses incurred by attendees must be reconciled before checking out of the hotel. AELP does not provide any subsidy towards travel and will not be held responsible for any costs incurred by attendees.

What will the content of the day cover? Will there be workshops/a chance to network?

Please refer to the website pages for additional information including agendas for both days. Delegates may attend a choice of workshops on offer each day. Workshops are facilitated by our supporting partners disseminating up to date information and/or new services within the sector.

Opportunities to network are available particularly in the Conference Exhibition & Catering area where lunch and all refreshments are served. The AELP Gala Dinner is held on the evening of Day One, 26 June 2017, which provides a further networking opportunity.

Do I need to do any pre-reading?

Where will the AELP Gala Dinner be held?

The AELP Gala Dinner will be held from 8.00pm until late in the Cremant Suite at the Novotel London West. A Pre-Dinner Drinks Reception precedes this from 7.00pm-8.00pm in the Cremant Suite Foyer.

What is the dress code for the conference and dinner?

The dress code for the conference is Business Dress. The dress code for the AELP Gala Dinner is Smart Dress. Black Tie is not required.
