New Business Models - Company Strategy & IT Operations - The Challenge of Alignment & Compatibility

Against the backdrop of a tough economic climate, business leaders are tasked with making bold strategic decisions, but they are also under increasing pressure to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of their operations. Having an IT infrastructure which allows their companies to execute important shifts in strategic planning is a top priorty, but so too is the need to control costs.

This private dinner, hosted by Financial Times Live and T-Systems, is the first event in an exciting new series which aims to provide a platform for board-level management to discuss their core operational requirements. The inaugural event will be exclusively for Chief Information Officers and will be hosted by Ade McCormack, Opinion Columnist for the Financial Times.

It is clear that all CIOs experience the same demands to run IT systems which are quick, efficient, secure and within budget. What is not so clear however, is the means by which they can achieve all of this, and there are still varying opinions about the adoption of tools such as cloud computing. This dinner will look to analyse the major decisions which CIOs are taking today.
