FLJG2: The Art and Science of Crown Lengthening for Restorative Dentistry
This course will focus on the different techniques used in esthetic and functional crown lengthening. It will address the concept of biologic width and ferrule effect as they apply to crown extension as well as soft- and hard-tissue surgical approaches. Proper case selection, flap types and management from incisions, flap elevation, osseous surgery and suturing techniques for predictable wound healing will be covered, and newer crown lengthening technology will be introduced.
