DWEN 2019

Girls Track

*UPDATE - We are currently on a wait list for Girl's Track attendees.  If any spots open up, you will be notified if interested.*

Back by popular demand, the DWEN Summit 2019 will include a Girls Track for girls ages 13-17.

Few programs today equip girls with skills to pursue their career interests and passions. This is especially true when it comes to technology – a field dominated by men and now critical to building a successful, modern business.

Just as DWEN aims to connect female entrepreneurs with networks, sources of capital, knowledge and technology, the Girls Track is focused on girls so that their path to entrepreneurship can be a guided one. During Girls Track, girls will hone their entrepreneurial instincts and grow their technology skills. They will receive training from DWEN mentors and develop business ideas to help address a key societal issue. On the last day of DWEN, two teams of girls will pitch their business ideas to the entire DWEN delegation.

Participation in Girls Track is limited to 20 and the girls must be able to participate in the DWEN Social Good Impact Day event on July 14th, 2019.  (Details on Social Impact day will be provided at a later date)

If you are interested in bringing a talented, entrepreneurial-minded young girl with you to DWEN to be a part of Girls Track, you can nominate her as a participant when you complete your DWEN registration.

New this year, girls interested in Girls Track will be required to complete an application process. Applicants will be notified by March 1st, 2019 if they are accepted into the program. As in previous years, there will be a waitlist once the spots are filled. Given the popularity of the program, priority will be given to girls who have not previously participated in Girls Track.
