Saturday Keynote Dinner | 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM - SOLD OUT!

Snorting, belching, stomping beasts with spiraling horns and tails crashing like quarterbacks could be an opening sequence from Jurassic Park or an overview of Linda Cortright’s lecture on the world of wild fibers.

Traveling thousands of miles beyond bucolic pastures of pedigree sheep, Cortright’s lecture not only looks at the global perspective of natural fibers

but also draws specifically from her travels to Mongolia, India, and Afghanistan.

Highlighted by spectacular photos and her unstoppable passion for the people she has met, and the places she has traveled as editor and publisher of Wild Fibers, Cortright will discuss the Cashmere Craft Center she is building in the High Himalayas to help support the women of a remote village by handspinning their precious cashmere.

Linda founded Wild Fibers, dubbed "the National Geographic of fiber publications", in 2004
after escaping the corporate world, and has been galavanting around the fiber world ever since. In addition to the magazine, Linda leads tours to some of the far-off locales she frequents. She served on the steering committee of the UN's 2009 Year of Natural Fibres and is building the Cashmere Craft Center in India's high Himalaya's to support women workers in the remote Pangong region.
This evening activity does require an additional cost and can be purchased during the online registration process.
Saturday Evening Keynote Dinner Cost: $50
