Event Description

March Lunch Meeting.

"Fighting Fraud, A Guide to Identifying Today's Corporate Psychopaths"

Presentation Summary and Learning Objectives

Fraud in the corporate world is more commonplace than ever, and, unfortunately with today’s technology, even the most thorough control processes can’t eliminate all the risk.  Auditing professionals are trained to identify fraud on the page, but we must go deeper to understand the human component that leads to this behavior. Fraud perpetrators, also considered “corporate psychopaths,” can use a variety of techniques to manipulate their team and company, which may not always be easy to recognize.  The speakers will explain how to identify the red flags of fraud and how to recognize them by entity, industry, and occupation to add another level of control to your fraud detection and prevention program.
