Join us for our first Sydney Special Interest Group for 2019! This will consist of a Round-table discussion with four table captains with a specific area of gifts in Wills to discuss.

Planned Giving Manager
Australian Cancer Research Foundation
Lee manages the ACRF’s Planned Giving area which provides support and guidance to those who are considering including a gift in their Will to the ACRF. A highlight of Lee’s work is meeting and interacting with ACRF supporters (new and long-term). Lee does presentations to Senior Groups, meets with supporters one-on-one and enjoys spreading the message of the vital impact that bequests can have in speeding up new treatments and cures for cancer.
 
Jasmine Hooper
Bequests & In Memorial Manager
Cancer Council NSW

Jasmine has worked at Cancer Council NSW for over 5 years, within the direct marketing team. Working on both cold acquisition and warm donor direct mail. Jasmine has a strong focus on supporter recognition, events and the mid value supporter segment.

Over the past two years Jasmine has headed up the Bequest and In Memory program for CCNSW. Adapting the principles of her mass marketing experience to significantly increase the number of supporters who have confirmed that they are leaving a gift in their will to Cancer Council. She is committed to building relationships with bequest supporters at a local level, ensuring they are appropriately thanked, recognised and assured that their gift will be well used.
 
Anne McFadden
Bequest Manager
The Children's Hospital at Westmead

With a background in Social Work, Anne moved into the NFP sector as an Account Manager in face-to-face fundraising before taking a role at The Children's Hospital at Westmead in 2007. She has worked in different roles in fundraising at the Hospital but found her niche in the bequest space.

Anne has managed the Bequest Program for the last six years and is passionate about all aspects of the role. Anne believes that a strong culture of donor care and stewardship within an organisation will lead to bequests.

 
Jakki Travers
Gifts in Wills Manager
The Smith Family

With a history of successful legacy fundraising at Caritas and Cancer Council NSW, Jakki Travers joined The Smith Family in August 2015 as Gifts in Wills Manager and now manages a team of six over the Gifts in Wills and Mid Value programs.

Under Jakki’s leadership, the number of confirmed bequestors at The Smith Family has risen from 0.35% of the active donor database (excluding F2F recruited donors) to 1% – which has seen the value of the gifts-in-wills pipeline rise from $10.4 million in 2016 to $64.6 million in 2018. The bequest program currently raises $5.5 million annually and has seen an increase in cash donations of 15% from the pipeline.
