Peter McMullin has an extensive legal and business career encompassing prominent roles in both the public and private sectors including having served as Deputy Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Mayor of Geelong, President of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Deputy President of the Museums Board of Victoria.

Peter is the current Chairman and Director of privately owned, diversified investment company McMullin Group and Special Counsel for Cornwall Stodart Lawyers, specialising in improving outcomes for the firm and its clients by facilitating meaningful connections between like-minded people.

Throughout Peter’s career, he has had a deep-seated interest in community affairs. He has consistently used his professional experience and network to further causes that he feels deeply and passionately about.

Peter’s belief is that the private sector has an important role to play in the resolution of many of our pressing social issues. He has made a significant contribution throughout his career forging positive, constructive partnerships between the private sector and governments, the not-for-profit sector and educational institutions.

 
Karen Van Sacker
Director of Advancement (STEM)
University of Melbourne

Karen is Director of Divisional Advancement at the University of Melbourne. As a member of the university’s advancement executive her primary responsibility focuses on the STEM faculties: Architecture, Building and Planning; Engineering; Science; and Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences.

Karen’s experience as a consultant and practitioner is deep, having worked at a senior leadership level across the non-profit sector since 1984.

Karen is experienced in using fundraising, philanthropy and campaigns to drive significant changes through organisations to drive more money to mission. Having worked internationally, and across sectors, she brings breadth and depth of knowledge to every project.

Through her career, Karen has raised over $100 million by helping organisations large and small attract greater philanthropy. Ms Van Sacker has specific expertise working with executive leaders and boards, and strength in organisational development, integrated fund development planning, and strategic and campaign management.
